Japan Disaster Appeal - Red Cross Australia

Some Japanese community groups got together to raise money for Japan.
I fold a giant (3 x 3m) paper crane with many helpers at Manly Corso on Sat 26 March 2011. Sydney based Japanese calligrapher, Hideo Dekura has written a message on it. 

It was not a great weather, cold and sometimes rained…. but there were many Japanese wearing Japanese traditional summer kimonos. I saw a lot of happy people holding paper cranes. The total of $30,474.70 was donated to Red Cross on the day.
