Art Along the Board Walk
North Sydney Council’s 5th annual event.Artists put their easels up at beautiful Lavender Bay, one of most beautiful spot in Sydney.It is just outside of Luna Park, almost under Sydney Harbour Bridge and you can see the Sydney Opera House. What a fantastic location!!
Unfortunately, it started to rain so we finished a bit early.It is always well organised event. Thank you very much North Sydney Council.

Northern Beaches artist, Midori Furze will open her studio at Laneway Art Depot in May 11-25, 1-4pm weekdays. Everyone welcome.
Laneway Art Depot was opened by three local artists in February 2012. Since then they have organised sketch clubs, origami and eco-craft workshops to share the joy of creativity with the community.
Midori’s works tell stories about her dreams, and concepts of love and music.
In her exhibition, “Pockets Full of Love” you can enjoy not only paintings and drawings, but also origami and Japanese calligraphy works, and unique one-of-a-kind handmade offerings.
 
“Green Tea Chat” – Meet the artists of Laneway Art Depot on Saturday 12th May 1-4pm. Come and enjoy the visit with eyes and taste buds because a chef, Sachiko Marchand from DiningStory will make sweets from her original receipt for this ultra special event. Midori and Sachiko have met in March this year when they volunteered at a Japan disaster memorial event – “Sydney – Remembering Fukushima, One year on” and interested in each others work since then.

Have you always wanted to learn how to fold paper cranes? Let’s start folding! The paper crane is the most known origami. After you have mastered it, challenge yourself to make a variety of shapes and sizes.
Bring a pair of scissors and your own paper or purchase them at the shop.
